The following services assist the family by bringing and working together with the necessary resources to achieve the family’s long term goals for their child or youth:
- Parental support – A Family Support Worker supports the family throughout their involvement with the Ministry of Children’s Services. The Family Support Worker will work with the Treaty 8 Urban Office’s resources, community members and organizations to meet the family’s long-term goals. Parental support is facilitated through two main activities: supported visits and transportation.
- Family Group Conferences – These are conducted by trained facilitators who bring together significant people in the child or youth’s life, the Service Team and members of the First Nation to discuss the Service Plan for a child or youth requiring Child Intervention services.
